There were no borders there before the WWII, we would like  to cancel them now as well. We would like to have a place (Info centre) where anything you look for on both sides of the border you find with orientation to culture as well as countryside; being a bridge to a specific Jewish culture as well.  
German partners in the planned exhibits in Freyung Wolfstein Castle are in the process of finding a suitable partner for a joint project giving a unique opportunity for major progress in the many years of efforts to rescue cultural relics of the former Jewish synagogue in ?kyn?. 

Ckyne is located in the centre of the towns of Prachatice, Strakonice and Vimperk being a natural centre of a rural area, but without facilities for high culture. 
The synagogue would therefore be reconstructed to serve not only as a regional Jewish Museum of South Bohemia, including the library focused on Jewish themes, but mainly as a multipurpose cultural facility with a concert and lecture halls and art gallery with a permanent exhibition of painters close to Prachatice district. Contribution to the awareness of tourists, especially in summer, is still missing there. 

Permanent cooperation between the two partners in exchanges of cultural events (exhibitions, concerts ...), as well as other information relevant to tourism, might also contribute to a stronger local economies of the two partner sites. 

The amount for the Ckyne synagogue is  10 000 000,-  crowns with the term of opening 2014...
