Dear Alex, Randy, Judith, and all the others, 

Thank you so much for your writings, materials, effort. We are going to prepare a really fine documentary about the history of the Ckyne Jewish Community, however, you can understand that is a really long term commitment. 

Up to the Day October 5th we are doing our best to prepare a nice expositions about four extinct synagogues in our region - being the only one that is ready to return, partially at least, to its essential function. The prayer room is nowhere else in the whole South Bohemia as there is only one old Jewish lady in nearby Strakonice and one man in ?eske Budejovice district town... 

But you, your clan, and all the other descendants will come and will be coming as well as the Jews from the other places, and that is we are here. 

On the other hand most of the visitors who will commonly come know very little about your history, language, religion. And they know nothing about the history of the Jewish communities and the synagogues that extinct some 70 years ago. Although they live in the houses that were built by those, pass or work in factories that were started by those and live in towns that were significantly enriched by those.  

And that is the main focus, main mission of our synagogue. To show, explain, educate. To return the awareness of your wonderful nation back to the place, make them become faintly familiar with an important part of their own history. 

So please be broadminded, the work needs time, so far we have prepared the best we could for the rededication.
