The Jewish Days are held this year in the days from September 17 to 23, 2007 in the towns Ckyne, Písek, Strakonice, and Volyne.

An important warning: on the day of JOM KIPUR on Sep 22 anybody is allowed to enter  Jewish cemeteries. Thank you very much for understanding! 

  You can write for its posting - the price is sixty crowns (without the delivey), or take part in some of the events that are held there, or drop in the Ckyne Municipality.
  The most interesting event will be traditionaly held on the days 17 to 23rd September - The South Bohemia Jewish Days. The trip will be prepared, an exhibition of the works from the May Art Symposium in synagogue. This year is devoted to Richard Weiner.

At the beginning of May the synagogue was opened for the second time to welcome about 15 artists at the first art symposium. They tried to express in paintings, drawings, photography or other means of art the Judaism and the feelings they had with meeting it.
  Not only in our synagogue or Jewish cemetery, but in Brezi, Volyne, Osek, Dub as well.
  Everybody could find his/her own place. There was a camp fire in the evening with sharing the experiences and on Sunday a big gathering party at Nahorany "Pod kaplickou" pub...
  Everybody who participated loved it, who did not, can look forward to the Jewish Days in autumn when the finished art works will be on display.
  Or to next year when the second Art Symposium is going to be held...
